I feel funny calling him Pat after knowing him as Mr. Cosgrove at Pittston Area High School. I recall his humor in class and his dedication to ensuring the class got the most from his knowledge and training. I also volunteered with the Drama Club, which Pat was instrumental in leading. Years later I ran into Pat at a meeting of Bill W.'s friends and was glad to reconnect with him in a different setting. Heartfelt sympathy to the family. In high school Pat and I were partners on the school debate team. We sent countless hours in the school library and science lab discussing political issues and planning debate strategies from nuclear arms to universal healthcare. When I was in St John's Elementary School, I joined the marching band in 2nd grade. Patrick was four years older than me but he was always a presence. When he reached high school he became the leader of the band, the drum major. He was always happy and it was infectious. He was the type of person everyone wanted to be around.
