Not sure what to say?

Jane, Brad, and Patricia…as you know I first met your husband/dad when I was in the 7th grade at Miami Springs Junior High. The year was 1957. Pat saw something in me that no other teacher had seen before. He took me under his wing and gave me private tutoring lessons in your home. He got me into the school work program and then into the Navy for 6 years.

Jane, you and Pat have followed my life all these years…once in a while when my life took a new direction I did not check...

Mrs. Dougherty,Patricia,Pamela,Niki,Brad ,Lauren,Victoria, Fran:
I too, feel the loss of your grandfather for I've known him all my life. My brothers and I he always encouraged us about school, my parents also cared for him for he always had wise words of wisdom for them and our families. We will always be friends and neighbors you can count on.

I knew Patrick for the last six years of his life, during which he was a regular worshipper at the Latin Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Church. Pat was unswerving in his love for the faith and was a rare individual who frequently said "thank you," not only to Father Fishwick, but to others who were involved in organizing and promoting the Latin Mass. His sense of gratitude and appreciation was profound, a trait rarely found today. When we moved out of Miami a few months ago, Pat would call to...

My granddaughter, Nicole Marie Clarke, Age 16, wrote from her heart and read this tribute at the viewing on February 29th. Please enter this in the guest book for Patrick A. Dougherty.
My Grandpa - By Nicole
You've been in my life ever since I was young
Watching over me and everything I've done
Always caring for others instead of yourself
You are so special in so many ways
That's why I miss you to this day
Feeling as though I left you behind...

I,Loran Bradford Dougherty, Jr., Age 11, wrote and read this tribute to my Grandpa at the viewing on Feb. 29, 2004.
My Grandfather was a very faithful Irish Catholic man. He never complained. If you asked for something, he would be right on it. He would give you whatever you wanted. You were always welcome to come to his house. He was always satisfied. Whatever he had, he was always happy with. He lived without his father almost the rest of his life. It was only his 13 brothers and...

Patricia, Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. You were truly blessed, as I am, to have had such a wonderful father in your life. We love you all. Sharon and family

Words couldn't express how I feel about losing my grandfather. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He thought nothing of putting someone elses needs before his own. I remember all the good times my sister and I had living in the house with grandma and grandpa. Things may never seem the same, but I understand that god was ready for him. To my family who are still mourning heavily I love you all and just know that he is with us all forever and always smiling and shining down on...

I enjoyed talking to Mr. Dougherty on my walks around the block. I will miss him.

Words cannot express how I (we) feel about the lost of your wonderful father. To my parents and my entire family it had been an honor and a privilege to have known him. Patricia, thank you for sharing some great stories about your dad yesterday. My prayers are with and your entire family.
