The Loughman family sends their sincere condolences to the Ertel family. Our friendship with Pat goes way back to when he became our two daughters' soccer coach. He was a superb mentor as a coach but also as a leader and a friend. We were close to the Ertels throughout the years as our girls grew up and went away to college. We consider it an honor to have known him and have him be such a positive role model for our daughters.

I was shocked and saddened today to find out about the passing of Pat Ertel, a Royerton High School classmate of mine. While organizing our 50th class reunion and getting responses from so many who will attend, we were all looking forward to seeing each other. I will miss being able to see Pat after all these years. To the family of Pat,,,,,I was a freshman on the varsity football team at Royerton High School when Pat was a senior. I started at db and had good speed and size for a freshman. The starting qb went down with a concussion with three games to go in the season and the very next game the back up qb broke his ankle.
