Not sure what to say?

I only recently learned of Mr. Frawley's death. Mr. Frawley was an incredible teacher. He taught me a good deal of what I know about teaching, and is an influence on how I teach to this day. He also instilled in me a love of the Latin language and language learning in general. Salve Magister!

Amo, amas, amat. Rest in peace dear man.

Mr. Frawley taught all three of our children, Elio, Daniela and Stephanie. They started going to Mr. Frawley's classes while they were attending Blessed Sacrament School since their parents believed that Latin grammar was at the basis of the languages used at home ( Italian and German). Mr. Frawley taught the ten-year olds together with his High School students. -- I attended some of his classes. As a colleague teacher, I was delighted by the atmosphere in the classes. Mr. Frawley was a...

Prayers for your family!! What a wonderful teacher! Thank you for not giving up on us! Salve!!

Toga parties, class pot lucks, plays in Latin! Mr. Frawley made learning fun. Just as important, he helped a shy kid from Blessed Sacrament adjust to big West High, tolerated my goofiness for four years and gave me a lifelong interest in reading and history. I was an OK student -- I admit to being the one who drooled at times. But Mr. Frawley (when we last spoke decades later I couldn't call him Pat) always made me want to try harder, to succeed. And to try to be a decent person. As my...

I count Mr. Frawley as one of my top three favorite teachers from Kindergarten through grad school. His classes were always engaging and often fun. He clearly loved his job. (No assigned homework on the weekends was always appreciated.) I feel lucky to have been one of this gifted teacher´s many Latin students at West.

Patrick was my Latin teacher at West High School; and, he made Latin fun to learn. I think that he told us a story, that he'd once worked at a cemetery. He was a very memorable instructor!

He was my Latin teacher at WestHigh about 1963. Have always remembered him as a great teacher and fine man. My thoughts are with his family.

We both had Magister for 4 years in the 80´s. He inspired Tim to continue Latin in college . A very memorable teacher. Sorry for your loss, thankful to have known him. Laura & Tim Gates
