Pat was enthroned in a tall armchair where he reigned as Grand Patriarch at our Happy Hour in the lobby of Building A. His walker held a bottle of wine which he shared and a mirror he used to hold up to see who was approaching from behind so that he could greet them with that voice like no other. Dad appreciated Pat's friendship especially during lunchtime at the Cypress. Dad said he knew that lunchtime conversation was over when Pat folded his napkin and put it on the table. He always referred to Pat as his oldest friend because he knew him from when they both lived in Basking Ridge, NJ. Dad predeceased Pat by about 3 months but now they are together again in heaven!
