NEW LONDON - Patrick Eugene Greaves of New London, CT passed away on Wednesday , August 7th at home surrounded by his family.
Patrick was born in Dalkey Co., Dublin, Ireland on May 14, 1942 the youngest son of Henry and Alice Greaves.
Upon emigration he was drafted into the US Army after which he became a quality control engineer in the aerospace industry.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Catriona, his sons; Kerry Greaves of Mystic and Eamonn Greaves of Stratford, daughter Eleanore Greaves of New London, along with 8 Grandchildren whom he loved very much and will miss him greatly. He is also survived by his brothers, Thomas Greaves of Westbrook, Harry Greaves of Old Saybrook, sisters, Patricia and Bernadette both of Old Saybrook. He was predeceased by a sister Marie.
There will be calling hours held 3 – 5 PM Wednesday, August 14, at Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington St., New London, CT 06320. Burial is private.

So sorry to hear of Patrick’s death.He had an acerbic wit and was good company.He enjoyed company and had a very good sense of humor.He was unfortunate to have poor health in the last years of his life.His travail is now over.May he rest in peace.
