Patrick Mark Obituary
July 26, 1936 - Nov. 9, 2015
Resident of San Jose
Pat entered into rest on November 9, 2015. He was a lifelong resident of San Jose, where he graduated from San Jose High School. After high school, Pat enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Pat worked as an electrician, and later became an electrical contractor. He and Katherine founded their family business, Mark Electric in 1974. He was an active member of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA), and served as President and Governor for over 2 decades. He traveled extensively for NECA, and was honored to represent his industry with numerous Senators and Congressmen. In 2001, Pat was inducted into the Academy of Electrical Contractors, an achievement he cherished. Pat retired in March 2015. Pat is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Katherine Mark; children Jeff Mark (Laureen) of Fresno, Debbie Mark (Bill) of San Jose, Dina Duckworth (David) of San Jose; and two granddaughters Chloe and Heather Duckworth. Funeral services were held privately.

In the very short time I worked with Pat in the San Jose High School Bulldog Foundation, I came to appreciate and admire his dedication to the goals of that organization. He became a good friend and I will miss him.

Pat was a very important person for the having the remodeling of the Heritage room at San Jose High.
He was able to get the NECA to donate money for the room and it was used to remove everything from the room so it could be painted in school colors.the old cabinets were also painted in school colors.The NECA paid for shelving on the walls, new filing cabinets, small floor shelves, special hangers for large pictures, carpet on the floor, a space for hanging Block sweaters and etc., locks for two of the cabinets,all the electoral work.
Pat and his company put all these things in place.
It is a beautiful room filled with memorabilia from 1863 about San Jose High School.
Thank you Pat, you will be missed.
