Not sure what to say?

Dear Marty & Michelle and family, I still miss my buddy, He could lift my spirits whenever I was down. I still have many articles he gave me as gifts. The entire Carmelites society have welcomed me even to this day. I still have contact with many of them to this day. Hope every thing is well with you all. Take care and God bless.

My deepest condolences to the McMahon family and the Carmelite family on the loss of Fr. Pat. He preached a beautiful retreat for our third Order Region earlier this year, was very generous with his time and knowledge although he was occupied about his brother who had ended up in the hospital with a concerning illness. Fr. Pat was delighted he could drive to see him and other family members after. He willingly shared his wisdom and experience and was encouraging to the Third Order. May he...

My family and I were always so happy to see Father Patrick on the altar Sunday mornings at Good Shepherd in Alexandria, VA. He was a wonderful person and priest and his sermons were always so inspirational. We were so blessed to have him in our lives.

Deepest sympathy to the family of Fr Pat just heard of his passing He was a dear friend ,married our oldest daughter and celebrated mass at our home for Mam's 90 birthday, truly admired and loved by my sister Matilda (sr Perpetua)Fr Pat is now at peace with them both.

I only learned of Fr. Pat's passing, when, after being out of the country, I returned to Mass on 9/18. I will miss his insightful homilies. He was truly a holy & humble man of God, & I will miss him. My sincere condolences to the McMahon Family.

While teaching in DC, Father McMahon presided on occasion at our suburban Maryland parish. One of the many remarkable things about this wonderful priest was that each week he spent time memorizing the upcoming Sunday Gospel reading so that he could truly proclaim it. He mentioned once to me that memorizing for him was not an easy task, but this was something that he very much wanted to do. This extra effort was such a gift to us. This great priest was a gift to all who knew him!

Fr Pat: I can't believe you are gone! Who can we turn to for insightful commentary (through your wonderful blog) on current issues a day clear-eyed view of what is spiritually important vs what is not. I'm sure you are delighted with your new position, but we will feel your loss for a very long time. R.I.P.

Father Pat, always a special treat, a gift from God, to listen to your homilies. Awaking my soul as you brought the words of Jesus to life. Humbly, I offer my prayers with you. God Bless You and Keep You Close as You have done so us with teaching and guiding with the Father's loving and walk on Earth. God, Thank You for letting my path cross briefly with your servant Father Pat.
