Only met him a few times on the tennis court,but enjoyed playing against him.My sympathy to his family and I will light a candle for him at mass Sunday.I think Pat was an ex-marine,so I will end with Sempre Fi from one Marine to another.

A great friend with an Irish wit, a fierce competitor on the tennis courts, and a great partner to have who fought to the finish, and win or lose, have a smile on his face and ready to go for the next game.

As testified by others who knew Pat from the tennis courts, it was clear that his great hockey skills transferred from the ice to the court. At the net, even in his later years, he dared an opponent to try to pass him with a well-placed shot. His hands were quick and his ballet...
