Patrick Sellers passed unexpectedly and quietly Wednesday, January 16th at home in The Woodlands. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Tamatha; 12 year old son, William Cade Sellers; parents Terry and Euleta Sellers; sister Sharon Sellers; niece Katrina Flores; and nephew Bryce Flores.
It is a great loss to all who knew him. Most who knew Patrick experienced his quick wit, and no one was exempt. Patrick had a knack for relating to people, frequently with very good impersonations. He was generous and selfless, and at the same time pretended to be tough and hard. He loved his family and they were always first in his life. Some, who knew him well, were on the fantasy football league and also knew his passion for NFL Football. Patrick achieved his goals not only as a business professional, but also as an Air Borne soldier for over 7 years and achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. His first achievement was earning his jump wings at Ft. Bennings, Georgia. He was proud of his assignment to Special Forces, where he worked with 7th group as an Intelligence Analyst. He completed his service working in the Counter Terrorism Unit at the National Security Agency. Patrick was proud of his service in the US Army achieving his Airborne Wings, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Joint Services Achievement Medal, German Armed Forces Badge for Military Proficiency, Non Commissioned Officers Development Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, and the Army Service Medal.
Funeral services are set for 11:00 A.M., Sunday, January 20, 2013 in the Chapel at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 I-45 South, The Woodlands, Texas 77384. Burial will follow in Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the funeral home.

I worked for Euleta & Terry for several years as the housekeeper. Euleta and I had so much fun talking about our families. We had the same passion for our children, Then Euleta had Cade and Katrina & Bryce...I don't have the words to describe the joy that they gave her as a Grama! All i know is that there was alway's another picture to brag about, and how she had the prettiest grandbabies in the world! I would make inchiladas and she would tell me to make an extra tray because Patrick would probly come and eat them all.. We laughed so hard all the time we started talking on the phone often. My son's thought she was a hot mess because she was so darn cute when they came to see her! I regret not coming over in the past couple of months to see you Euleta, I wanted to tell you that I am living very close to you now, and maby we can pick up where we left off! We have much to talk about. Im sorry that we had to meet again under these circumstances...To Tammy & all the Sellers, again may God comfort & strengthen your hearts thru these difficult times. XOXO'S

Terry, Euleta, and Sharon,
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your family for the past 20 years. I feel as though I have lost not only a friend, but a brother and kindred spirit. I will cherish the memories of mustard on his shirt and prank voicemails, among countless other escapades we shared. I love all of you guys, and you will always be in my thoughts and prayers.

Tammie and the precious Sellers Family - I'm just so shocked and sad. Because of my dad's relationship with Patrick and Patrick's propensity to show up in our conversations, I feel like I knew him better than I really did. I imagine Patrick and I would've been good friends, given the chance. I'm CERTAIN that I coud've defeated him in a movie & TV-quoting contest!
Our family's prayers and sympathies are with you in such a time as this - a time that completely defies explanation or understanding. May the God of all comfort be with you.
Love and peace to you all,
Shelley, John, and Annie Jennings

Wednesday morning, I lost a dear friend – Patrick Sellers. At age 43, Patrick left his earthly vessel to gain the joy of heaven. In my lifetime, this is the most difficult parting of ways I have experienced. It is with immense sorrow that I give up the continuing fellowship enjoyed with Patrick over the past 12 years. I cannot even begin to imagine the loss felt by his family.
While considering the sorrow, I am remiss if I fail to celebrate the joy Patrick brought to my life. There have been a handful of young people in my life who have brought great joy in a variety of ways. Patrick is truly one of those.
Patrick had no fear of the trappings of life in general, embracing everything and everyone with interest, always finding the light side. He found humor in the human propensity of taking oneself too seriously. He was unpretentious, always seeming to push away from it. He never denied others the right to be that way, but found in it no personal interest. He would often poke fun at the idiosyncrasies of his friends, family and acquaintances even though he enjoyed the relationship.
Patrick loved his family – he worked diligently to be a good son to Terry and Euleta – while often expressing a frustration with the parental propensities of both, he respected and loved them, always desiring to make them proud.
Patrick was a great husband and father to Tammie and Cade. He would share his frustrations in the differences of opinion with Tammie on a variety of issues, but never in a serious fashion. Many other comments revealed Patrick's deep and enduring love for Tammie – in my eyes, undeniable. He took great joy in being a Dad, expressing often the fun of recreating his childhood through games played with Cade. Patrick delighted in Cade's mental and physical development, frequently sharing the experiences of the day. His facial expressions: again -undeniable.
Patrick was the stereo-typical brother to his sister, Sharon. If you didn't know him well, you might think otherwise. He was Sharon's most frequent critic, but he would be the first to come to her defense if he saw her wronged.
Patrick was an avid story-teller, and his stories were always interesting. He was incredibility bright – probably had a very high IQ. His insights were always way beyond where the average mind would go, which invariably added color and interest to the stories he told. He was a passionate defender of the weak and the underdog. He would frequently share stories from childhood, high school and later which revealed that nature in him. He took joy in telling of his adventures in defense of people who were often on the receiving end of bullying.
Patrick had spiritual underpinnings that were not readily apparent. His unpretentious nature led to a certain disdain for the hypocritical nature of all humanity, especially in church circles. From time to time, Patrick shared stories with some very colorful language. The casual observer might think him to be anything but spiritually grounded. I personally believe otherwise. Early in our 12-year friendship, Patrick and I roomed together at a conference in San Antonio. In the evening, not having anything else to do, Patrick bought a six pack of his favorite beer, and we retired to our room to solve the world's problems. In the course of that time I shared my personal testimony of Christian faith. At that story's end, Patrick told me that he had a similar experience earlier in his life. Patrick didn't “toot his own horn, so that was not something heralded. The way he lived his life was all the proof I need to trust in the truth of what he shared.
I'm going to miss my friend in the days to come. I think all who have known him will say the same. I expect to see him when I leave the confines of this earthly experience. It will be fun to reunite in a place where we will, indeed, find all of the answers.

Terry, Euleta, Sharon and Family - I join so many in saying we cherished Pat - he was such a generous, intelligent, respected man, whose sense of humor was absolutely second to none. He loved all of you, with all he had, and indeed for me, it was a privilege to witness this, and be called his friend. Please lean on us - we are all here for you.

Terry and Family:
We are so sorry to hear about Patrick's passing. He was a great man that had life by the tail and a smile on his face. I look back with great fondness on many of the conversations that we would have when he was in the Houston Office. Patrick and I had many of the same opinions so talking politics or the days current events with him was always a treat. From where I sit he lived life by a strong moral compass. He was a man of great charachter who loved his family. He was always proud to say that he worked for his Dad. What a truly great compliment to you.
Hilary, me and "the boys" will keep your family in our prayers during this difficult time.

Tammy and cade,we honestly can't imagine your grief at losing your husband, your Dad and your best friend. We will forever remember him and his ability to make us laugh so hard that we cried...I can personally reacll two of my favorite memories of Pat...The first is that I always developed a knot in my stomache when I knew you two were coming over to hang out because I knew "somehow" that I would be the main character in a lot of those jokes that kept us laughing so hard...and that Daniel would be (almost)as prelevant!I'll never forget when danny bought his 4-Runner and Pat's first thought was to ask Danny if he was gay(obviously before Dan met and Married Andrea). We also will never forget the gift he gave Sarah...The old Maid in The Shoe carving,we will move that up front in the curio cabinet in honor of your husband, your Dad and OUR FRIEND!...love you both and praying for you two..always
