My brother Pat was one of the best and most geniune people I ever had the privilege of knowing. Pat was not only my brother, he was my friend. Pat may have had a gruff exterior to people but he had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off his back. Pat never took anything or anyone for granted, he appreciated people and everything they did for or with him. As an RN at St. Luke's I had the privilege to get to know & care for Pat in the Pain Mgt. Clinic where he had his implanted
pain pump meds refilled & adjusted. His son, Bill, would faithfully bring him in for his outpatient pain & IV therapies for several years, so I got to know them very well. Despite many medical issues including chronic pain, Pat kept a stiff upper lip
by talking about his family (especially the grandkids), his new truck, & his cars. I would often stop & see...

As an RN @ St.Luke's Medical Center, I had the privilege of getting to know & care for Patrick for several years in the Pain Mgt. Clinic with Dr. Awan.
His son, Bill, would faithfully bring him in for his outpatient pain pump med refills & for IV therapy for his MS.
