My brother Pat was one of the best and most geniune people I ever had the privilege of knowing. Pat was not only my brother, he was my friend. Pat may have had a gruff exterior to people but he had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off his back. Pat never took anything or anyone for granted, he appreciated people and everything they did for or with him. Pat took being my brother to heart and always felt it was his job to make sure I was ok and that I was treated well by people. Pat suffered for so many years with his health problems and in pain, despite them he always tried to find the good in everything and he enjoyed life to it's fullest. Pat was great at telling stories and he was great at coming up with one liners and always made people laugh. Pat was a hard worker and always paid his own way in life. To say I miss him is an understatement, we did so many things and made so many memories together throughout our lives together and for that I am eternally grateful. I am glad you are no longer suffering Pat but not a day goes by that I don't think about you and miss talking to you. I love you, I hope you are now resting peacefully. Love always, Your sister Chris

As an RN at St. Luke's I had the privilege to get to know & care for Pat in the Pain Mgt. Clinic where he had his implanted
pain pump meds refilled & adjusted. His son, Bill, would faithfully bring him in for his outpatient pain & IV therapies for several years, so I got to know them very well. Despite many medical issues including chronic pain, Pat kept a stiff upper lip
by talking about his family (especially the grandkids), his new truck, & his cars. I would often stop & see him when he was admitted to the hospital, & remember his appreciative smile seeing a familiar face. I'm so glad to have met this interesting
man (he was a "character"!) as not only a caregiver, but as a friend. I pray that after a long tough journey he has found his
eternal rest & peace. So long good friend.

As an RN @ St.Luke's Medical Center, I had the privilege of getting to know & care for Patrick for several years in the Pain Mgt. Clinic with Dr. Awan.
His son, Bill, would faithfully bring him in for his outpatient pain pump med refills & for IV therapy for his MS. Despite having to deal with a number of medical problems including severe chronic pain, Pat would try to keep a stiff upper lip as we would often talk about his family (especially grandkids) his new truck & his cars. I would often stop in to visit with him
when he was an inpatient being treated for other than pain issues-he was always glad to see a familiar face. I'm glad to have been able to know him as not only his nurse, but as a friend indeed. After a long journey through pain & suffering, I pray he has now found his eternal rest & peace.
