Dear Mrs. Flora,

I was at a gathering of Greenon friends this past Saturday, August 27th when I learned of Mr Flora's passing. I just wanted to tell you about the impact he had on my life. I had Mr. Flora in the 10th grade for Algebra II and again in the 12th grade for calculus. Though I wasn't always the best math student, I worked really hard and really enjoyed Mr. Flora's classes. He expected a lot of his students and because of that I worked extremely hard to do well. I am...

Susan, I am so sorry to hear of your dads passing. I just found this out and wanted you to know that we are thinking of you and the whole family. We will pray for strength for you all through this difficult time!! Hugs to you "old" friend! :)

I was very lucky to teach with Jim at Greenon High School, for quite a few years. I know he was one of the finest teachers on the staff, through the years he taught math, there. I know he will be missed by those who taught with him, by his many students who experienced Jim as a teacher, and most of all.....his family.

May he...Rest-In-Peace.

Dear Kay, My Mother and I were terribly saddened by the news that Jim had lost his battle with cancer. All the notes of tribute to Jim are so very well deserved. When you and he moved into "our" backyard we knew we had the most wonderful neighbors anyone could ask for - thank you for being such dear folks. I always felt so safe knowing you all were "watching our back"! In deepest sympathy we send these words...Jan and Laurel Campbell

Dear Kay and Family. I send our most sincere condolences from your family at The James. Indeed, our physicians, nurses, and staff share in your loss and reflect upon the privilege that we experienced in providing care for Jim over so many years. He faced his illness with bravery and quiet dignity that sets an example for all to follow. I am sure these same characteristics were in evidence throughout his career in education and impacted many young men and women in a positive fashion. ...

Kay and family: I am so sorry to hear of your loss. May God bless and comfort you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Kay and family, So very sorry to hear about Jim, my cousin. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you. May your wonderful memories of Jim as husband, father, grandfather & brother comfort you each day. I pray God will give you strength for the days ahead.

Kay, Mike, Joe and Families. We are so sorry for your loss. As 1958 classmates at Greenon (and neighbors growing up), we remember Jim as a quiet, considerate and polite young man (and also a great football player). May God Bless each of you, give you strength to carry on, and keep your precious memories ever near.
