Dr. Goldstene was my FAVORITE professor at CSU Sacramento when I attended from 1994 - 1996. I loved his lectures, his books, and our conversations. He has absolutely shaped my career and academic pursuits. His memory lives on as I teach at Portland State University and reference his ideas from the Collapse of the Liberal Empire. Thank you, Dr. Goldstene, for your passion, service, and your great mind that you shared with so many.

My sincerest sympathies to the Goldstene family on the passing of their patriarch. Professor Goldstene was one of the most distinguished members of the academic community, not just for his teaching at CSUS but beyond in the literary world.
