Paul Guajardo Obituary

Paul Guajardo, 55, of Brownsville, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012, at his residence surrounded by loving family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Juanita Guajardo, and by a brother, Rudy Guajardo.

He is survived by his wife, Oralia Guajardo; daughters, Gloria and Cristina Guajardo; siblings, Yolanda Garza and Juan Guajardo along with brother- and sister-in-law Enrique Garza and Rosa Maria Guajardo.

Born and raised in Brownsville, Paul had a passion for farming, a trade he learned from his dad and was fortunate to have done all his life. His sense of humor was a delight to his family and friends, and his companionship was an attraction to all who knew him. He was married to his lovely wife for 31 years and they had two daughters. He worked 20 years at UTB at campus police. The last five years he was self-employed and enjoyed the many trades of welding, carpentry, landscaping and designing barbecue pits. He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. Our heavenly Father has taken him home and the family is comforted by this.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 1, from 1 to 9 p.m with a recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m.

A funeral service will be held Monday, April 2, at 1 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Chapel.

Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park. Condolences may also be sent to the family at www.sunsetfuneralhomergv.com.

My sincerest sympathy to the Guajardo family. I grew up and still live practically across the road from ya'll. A wonderful and respectful group. Mr. Guajardo always had a pleasant smile and friendly wave everytime we would pass by the house and he'd be outside tinkering with his many hobbies. I may not know ya'll on a very personal level, but I know he was a good man because he always had his family around him.

Pauly G, Great Man and proud to say My UNCLE. Cherish all memories I had with you in my life. A lot of laughs and great times we had together... Hangouts and bbq's at the house will not be the same without there. Your presents light up the room and made it exciting night, especially when you kicked all our butts in darts. You will be missed and you will never be forgotten. I Love You Tio, see you later. Your nephew
