Recently Paul exchanged letters with my (now deceased) sister Lynne Tigges Dvorak. Our families were neighbors (on the farm) as we grew up. Paul was always Lynne's protector on the school bus. When Lynne found out she had ALS, she contacted Paul via his niece who was Lynne's cosmetologist. Paul's niece shared his journey with cancer, unfortunately one the whole Halbur family knows so much about. Their correspondence really helped Lynne during some difficult times.
