VIGIL SERVICE, Sunday, March 30, 2025, 5 p.m., with VISITATION beginning at 3 p.m., at West Center Chapel, 7805 West Center Road, Omaha. SERVICES, Monday, March 31, 2025, West Center Chapel, at 10:30 a.m., to St. Cecilia Cathedral located at 701 N. 40th St., Omaha for MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL at 11:15 a.m. INTERMENT, Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Carmelite Nuns of Sioux City, Iowa., 2901 S. Cecelia Street, Sioux City, Iowa, 51106.

Recently Paul exchanged letters with my (now deceased) sister Lynne Tigges Dvorak. Our families were neighbors (on the farm) as we grew up. Paul was always Lynne's protector on the school bus. When Lynne found out she had ALS, she contacted Paul via his niece who was Lynne's cosmetologist. Paul's niece shared his journey with cancer, unfortunately one the whole Halbur family knows so much about. Their correspondence really helped Lynne during some difficult times. Paul attended Lynne's wake service. We were all amazed and grateful to see him there! I'm sure Paul is in Heaven with Lynne, having left his struggles behind.
My deepest sympathy, thoughts, prayers and hugs to all the Halbur family!
