Paul Kuchar Obituary
AUBURN, IL - Paul Eugene Kuchar, 76, of Auburn, formerly of Chatham and Riverton, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at his home. He was born August 19, 1939 in Springfield to Anton and Agnes Shields Kuchar. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, brother Wayne and brother-in-law Paul Bordignon. He married Mary Jane Harter on September 26, 1961. He served his country in the US Air Force, serving from 1960 until 1964, then joining the reserves. Mr. Kuchar was a member of the Carpenter's Union Local 16 and was a carpenter who built bridges and roadways.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 55 years, Mary Jane; son, Jeffrey (Shelley) Kuchar of Auburn; daughter, Tina (Gary) Gandy of Riverton; grandchildren, Jake and Jayden Kuchar of Raymond and Zachary Gandy of Riverton; sister, Mary Jane Bordignon of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
His family will greet friends from 4-7pm, Tuesday, May 24, at Staab Polk Memorial Home, 8855 State Route 4, Chatham. Cremation rites will then be accorded by Cremation Services of Central Illinois, Chatham. Funeral ceremony will be at Noon, Wednesday, May 25, at Staab Polk Memorial Home, Chatham. Burial of his urn will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery with the Interveterans' Burial Detail of Sangamon County and the Department of Defense conducting military honors.
