Paul Macik

I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Macik's passing three years ago. He was a skilled and gifted surgeon. He changed the lives of many including mine. I could never thank him enough for helping me open the door to my new life. To his wife and beloved daughters - please accept my heartfelt condolences.

Dr. Macik was my weight loss surgeon in 2011 when I was a depressed 18 year old weighing 360lbs. I was going to say what most say- that he gave me my life back. But a better description is that he gave me a life to begin with. The day he did my surgery was essentially the first day I began living, and while Dr. Macik wasn´t a touchy feely, particularly talkative or warm doctor, he was the best doctor at what he did. He made my life worth living when everyone around me had given up. I owe him...

Dr. Macik, was my weight loss surgeon. No disrespect intended but, he wasn't overly friendly. If I looked for that I should have found another dr. What i prayed for was the BEST dr. and I got Dr. Macik. He was smart, knowledgeable and knew things about 'my'surgery I never thought of even with my extensive research. I was shocked when I tried to reach out to his office for an appt. God bless his family!

I learned today of Dr. Macik's passing. I'm so saddened to hear about this. I suffered for over 15 years with severe issues caused by abdominal adhesions. Dr. Macik was the only doctor to figure out what was actually going on with me and was the only doctor who was willing to help me with it. Literally improved my quality of life and probably even saved it. Though it has been a couple of years my deepest condolences to his family and friends.

I'm devastated to learn Dr. Macik passed away. He gave me my life back & I'll always be grateful. He took very good care of me & always treated me with kindness & respect. R.I.P. Dr. Macik, you truly will be missed.

I am so heartbroken to learn today that Dr. Macik has passed away. As so many others, because of his expertise and skill, he gave me my life back. My surgery was 2015 and i have not seen him for years. When i went for my 1 year follow up he didn't recognize me at all.... He was so excited! I loved his quiet gentle nature although i am very outgoing. I would purposely say things to get him to laugh.... Its like he wanted to busy a gut but he composed himself with a chuckle. It always did...
