My sincere condolences to Shaun, and the McEachern clan for the loss of an exemplary human being.
He will always be remembered for fighting the good fight against all manner of wrong doing from the get-go, and he only got tougher/better as he aged.
We met at UNH in '61 when he was my direct supervisor as business mgr. of the school newspaper, The New Hampshire. Come to think of it; he may have hired.
Pax vobiscum, Paul.
Je me souviens,

I remember Paul as a kind man and engaging parent. I enjoyed a few sleep overs at the Meadow Lane home as Alec and I were friends in elementary school. The meals were home cooked and superb. I thought it funny that following the evening news all family members would disappear into their books. Alec and I were competitive in academics, he far surpassed me. I’ve also had the pleasure of friendships with many other family members through the years. I wish this family well navigating their grief,...

Paul was a good friend over the years. He and his partner were a good mix. I don't know anyone who didn't like him.

Paul was a wonderful, generous and caring man. I was privileged to meet him and get to know a little bit through my work at the Greater Piscataqua Community Foundation. He helped me figure out several issues regarding our office space on the North Mill Pond as well as some other issues with Portsmouth nonprofits he severed. He will be missed. My condolences to the family.

My condolences to Paul’s family. Thank you to all the members of the family for their continued service to the Portsmouth community, the state and our nation. I had the opportunity to work with Shaun as a School Board member and Paul, the attorney as a member of the City Council. My thoughts are with you all. I am very grateful to have known Paul.

My condolences to Paul's family. I came to respect Paul many decades ago as a young lawyer and that respect grew as I saw him take on cases where his sense of right, his passion and talent created a formidable presence. The community and Bar will miss him!
