I met Paul and his partner Dick West in 1984 when I was starting my business as a financial advisor. Paul was very receptive and welcoming to a broke, struggling young man; each time we spoke was a refuge from the world. When I had actual income, Sanders and West became my CPAs, and still are. Rest in Peace.

I met Paul through Dick West, who became my CPA in 1986 (and was so until he retired). Through a second mutual friend, John Delaney, I was asked in 1987 or so to join a poker club with Paul and John plus Tony Jones, Switzer Deason, Davis McGill, Dr. Bud Wilson, and Larry Ruffino.
