Our family will miss you so much. We are so blessed to have known you. I'll never forget your wit and kindness. Everybody loved you from the minute they met you. I HAVE WORKED AT MERCY HOSPITAL FOR THE PAST 27 YEARS.I AM SADDEN AT THE LOSS OF FATHER SCHERER.I FELT THE CRISTIAN COMMUNITY HAS LOST SOMEONE WITIH A BIG HEART AND HUMANITY, SELDOM FOUND IN THIS WORLD. WE WERE BLESSED BY GOD FOR HAVING KNOWNING HIM.

Our family was so very saddened to learn of dear Father’s passing. While during one of my many visits to meet a friend of mine at Mercy Hospital, I was most honored and privileged to have met Father. We quickly became good friends and, eventually, very dear to our family, immeasurably. How blessed we are for he was, and will always remain, a wonderful part of our families’ lives as we would graciously welcome him into our Tavernier home during his brief stays in the area. Father, I was thinking of you so much in the last few months. I hope that you had the opportunity to see the many articles I sent to you on Cardinal De Nardo as well as the boys picture. You were so kind to my dad and myself on my many visits to Miami. I will fondly remember the many dinners out that we had.
