Incredibly sad to hear about the passing of Paul. My heart goes out to his family and friends for this terrible loss. I spent years with Paul working at his brother's restaurant 'The Terrace' in Locust Valley. We met when we were 16 and became fast friends. This was back in the good old days of an 18 year old drinking age and Paul and I used to ride our bicycles to the bar after work! Many a summer evening was spent getting into all kinds of trouble as teenage boys on Long Island... you can...

Lynn Ellen, My heart goes out to you. I have fond memories of watching Joss and Jack play together at the ELC with you and sometimes Paul. Paul was always good-natured and I will remember his joy when seeing Jack after a long day. Sending you hugs and wishing you peace.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Schimoler family. Paul and I were friends at Cornell and although we had lost touch over the years I will never forget the good times we had together. He was a good man who was always upbeat and happy. May God be with you during this very difficult time.

Lynn, though we only had the pleasure of meeting your hubbie a few times, he left quite the impression on us. I remember my husband saying to me "I really like that guy". MUCH love to you, Mike & Margaret Howell (Melodie's sister and husband from Manchester, NH). xoxoxoxoxox

Lynn Ellen, Serena,Jack, and the entire Schimoler family,
My deepest sympathies to you all. Paul was a very thoughtful, and genuine person. I am glad that my path crossed his while he was doing camps, and then later as my roommate on the road while he was at RPI. He has left a footprint on this earth, and I am sorry for everyone's loss. RIP Schmoles.

To Paul's Family from his LI fans and supporters:
All our prayers and sympathy at this time are sent your way, but are nothing at all compared to the life, love, and lacrosse that Paul means to so many, for years and years to come.
I saw a sign outside of a Chuch in Ithaca near the Cornell campus that said: "Jesus Saves."
Now He can speak with Paul about those on-the-field "saves" as well.

My sincere condolences to Paul's family. In my time announcing SMC lacrosse games I was always impressed by Coach Schimoler's professionalism. God Bless
