Not sure what to say?

Sending our condolences to Ron and the entire Schneider Family for their loss. These two brothers were well known and respected at the HOJ (Robbery & Homicide) for many years before retirement. Thank you for your service to the citizens of San Francisco. Dave & Phyllis (Gunder) Sieber

I knew Paul from the robbery detail.I actually later sat at his desk.He was a great Inspector and a better jokester.Practical jokes on his fellow workers. And also brave as hell, volunteering to be taken hostage to save the life of a friend. God bless you Paul and your family....Tony Camilleri

A really great guy and investigator. His kind will be missed. RIP Paul.

I remember Paul as one of the most respected members of the SFPD. He lived a long and productive life. Enjoy heaven Paul.

There aren't many downsides to living to be 94 years old, but if there is one it's the fact that you have outlived most all your colleagues who knew and admired you. Such is the case with Paul and the ONLY reason there aren't a hundred glowing memories posted in this column. I never had the honor of actually working cases with Paul, as he was retired before the snot had dried on my upper lip, but his reputation was epic and he was roundly admired by everyone I knew. Yes, I'll miss...

Paul and I were partners for five years in the Robbery Detail. Wow, what a great ride that was. Paul was a hard working, fun loving and most capable detective. I learned so much from Paul but of all he taught me the most important was the value of family. Paul was so dedicated to his family that nothing mattered more to him. Thanks Paul for your friendship and all the great times we had together. R.I.P. Paul Mike Dower Ret. SFPD

I met Paul when I was a young officer in the SFPD. Paul was a mentor and role model for a lot of us younger officers. I am so fortunate that I became friends with Paul. His effect on my career was immeasureable, thank you so much for that. Rest in Peace, my old friend
