Not sure what to say?

Doctor Sullivan was my family´s dentist for many many years...his warm caring style and positive outlook was inspirational, and I remember many a story and kind word shared during my appointments. One scenario stands out as he went above and beyond during a dental emergency around the time of my major thoracic surgery, as a 9/11 survivor. I was so scared, and he calmed me down, fixed my tooth immediately, so I could be operated on, and was a hero to me as he helped me through a difficult...

So very sad.

I apologize for this belated message. I remember Paul and Linda from our days at Holy Cross College. Paul was really one of the 'good guys'... someone you enjoyed being around. He was something of a role model, entering Dental School a year ahead of me. While we lost touch over the years, I knew through others that he built a successful practice, and that he and Linda had a beautiful family. My heart goes out to Linda and her sons and I hope that as time passes the pain of their lost fades...

I went to dental school with Dr. Sullivan. While not knowing him very well, I always remember him with as a lovely individual with an ever-present smile. May he Rest In Peace. — David Weiner DMD, Miami, Florida.

Paul was so much more than our superb dentist for 40 years. He was a kind, warm and compassionate person who truly took an interest in the lives of all our family members. His death is such a terrible loss for his family and for all who wished him well and God speed in his recent retirement. Our great sympathies are with his family about whom he spoke with gentle love and pride.

Dear Linda, Suzanne, Dan, Tara, Ronan and the entire Sullivan family,

Where to even start about the loss of such a special husband, father and grandfather - for sure, the world is an emptier place. Paul was a man among men - an ultimate professional, gentle, kind and responsible. Over thirty years ago, I met Paul as a dentist and immediately knew that I hadmade a rare find - a brilliant and personable dentist, an empathetic and genuinely happy person, who solved every problem confidently...

I just learned about Paul's passing. My condolences to everyone in his family. I haven't seen or heard from Paul since college, but he was one of the nice, good guys back then. I'm confident this was true his entire life and sure he'll be missed.

Hello.
I posted Dr. Sullivan's obituary on Facebook. I cannot think about him or look at his sweet face without crying. And I was JUST his patient!!! But was anyone "just" his patient. I have attached the comments from FB. I think a college friend who never met him said it best...."Says a lot about who he was that so many are so sad about losing their dentist." I hope you read the comments from some of his patients and those who read about him and find comfort. I am pretty sure none...
