Paul VanDyk

I´m am saddened by the news of Paul´s death. He was my dear friend and partner in our 1980´s firm, The Law Offices of Bittner and van Dyk in San Francisco. I knew Paul because of my friendship with his brother Pete. My favorite memory of Paul was when he, his brother Gary and I decided to drive cross county to Pete (and Ann's) wedding in Indiana. We drove non-stop and had a great time. A storm came through the midwest during our visit necessitating a southern Route 66 trip through sandstorms and horrible winds but made home. I came to know Paul while we walked our dogs. He was very dedicated to Scotty. Paul was a highly intelligent fellow with a quick wit. He often spoke about Stanford while laughing at Cal. He loved golf and was happy to play just south of here. He spoke fondly of his mother and her longevity. He was incredibly happy after finding his Turkish girlfriend. He really enjoyed life in her company. It´s sad that Paul passed. I´ll retain many fond memories of engaging discussions with this...
