Group of 10 Memorial Trees

Nature's beauty never ceases to surprise.

The Hummingbird & Christmas Wreath

There was no snow on the gravel yard.
The daytime temperature had not fallen below 50°.
It was December in the Valley of the Sun.
The Christmas wreath sparkled with green and gold glitter.
A red satin ribbon tied in a bow cascaded from the top.
To welcome the holidays to the small abode.

As I sat on the sofa with my chocolate pup by my side, the enchanting creature hovered inside the open front door.
Without a moment's notice,...

Laurene has the knack for writing the most beautiful poems for you, Paul! Me, well I have to resort to finding music and/or quotes that I find fitting. I surely didn't forget you on your birthday... I posted the following on fb: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkmO5acqOXE&feature=share
a wonderful song to describe how I feel and this quote: "Every man's life ends the same way. It is only the details of how he lived and how he died that distinguish one man from another." ~Ernest...

Memories are fuel on life's highway

When my chocolate velvet-eared pup points his noise up and sniffs the air, then I know your spirit is in the room. Time here continues to stretch on like an endless Texas highway.

I am thankful for your spirit which visits from time to time. I am reminded to raise my eyes to take in the cerulean blue sky and the shapes of the clouds. Also, to pay attention to the night sky as the moon grows from a sliver to a full one, again and again.

You will always be missed, but know that...

My 3 Angels

I miss you, daddy, every day. Please give Paul a hug for me and Mark and Kitty too! I love you, Always... your daughter.

Thanksgiving Novemeber 2000 the last time we were ALL together (Chuck out of frame)

The holidays, hm. Tough times. We DO, however, have much to be thankful for and our memories will last forever! Please give daddy, Mark and Kitty and all those with you today, a BIG HUG from me! I love you Paul and miss you so very much. Always, Your sister Catherine*

Rain or Shine... Always the 'healer', Dr. Paul :)

My Dear Brother Paul, I know I haven't written in some time... but you and I both know that we have our daily conversations... just between us! It has been quite a difficult year and I have been at a loss for words (believe it or not). Coping with your loss has been something I never could imagine. Then, to lose Dad and Mark Lindsey in less than a year later, virtually hours apart... well, speechless. Please give daddy a hug from me. And Mark too, of course. Mark was a great comfort to...

The Moon is full, but my heart is not

There is a full Moon in the sky tonight. Do you see it from the other side? If it were transparent, would I see you?
A father, a brother, a good friend. Each gave more than they would ever take. Their time here had come to an end.
I remember my Dad’s backyard gardens. In every house we ever lived in. On the smallest plot that was his land.
I remember my brother loved to cook. He knew all the right ingredients. He gave me lessons, but not sure it took.
I remember...
