Pauline Alice Kirby Allison age 102 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, March 1,2017 in the Galax Health and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Allison was born in Galax, Virginia on September 20, 1914 to Harvey E. and Hattie Jeanette Freeman Kirby. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Carl Burton Allison; daughter Peggy McMillon and grandson Duane Chaffman.

She was a charter member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church and played the piano at Hillcrest Baptist Church for sixty years.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Carlene and Wayne Damba of Lexington, North Carolina; four grandchildren Shelley Oakley; Tina Redd; Sherri Bray and Michael Damba; eleven great-grandchildren Allison McMillon; Keely DeZern; Derek DeZern; Kayla McCraw; Desiree Pacheco; Tammy White; Scott Chaffman; Landon Redd; Christian Bray and Meagan Vance; Zach; seven great-great-grandchildren Robbie Lee; Levi Lee; Kami White; Jordyn Chaffman; Tyler Wilson; Rocelyn McCraw and Cameron Brown; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the McMillan Ministries with Pastor James Cowley, Rev. Stacy Redd and the Rev. David Long officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the McMillan Ministries.

McMillan Ministries is located in the old Hillcrest Baptist Church Building.
