Not sure what to say?

I will miss my neighbor, Pauline, and the occasional cup of coffee in her kitchen. She was a dear friend.

Mrs. Hawk was my kindergarden teacher and a dear family friend. We exchanged Christmas cards for many years, long after I had left the valley. She was a shining example of what a teacher is supposed to be. May her legacy live on in her children and grandchildren. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Hawk family.

I have very pleasant memories of a lovely gracious lady.

Dear Hawk Families,
Pauline was a teacher of life, Her first love was God, then Family, then children. She taught them reading, writing, arithmatic and a love of learning. Its amazing how many lives she touched, we were all blessed to have known Pauline and her family. To know her was to love her, she was an Angel to many many children.Bob & Betty Jo McNeece and Mary Kathrine McNicholas.

May God's comfort and peace be with you dear ones. Pauline always made me feel like one of the family whenever I came by to hang out with Mary. I loved being in the Hawk's home as it was just as busy and hectic as my own. On the many occasions I spent in her home, she always made me laugh and never hesitated to invite me to stay for dinner. What a lovely lady she was. My parents, who have been gone for many years now, both loved and respected Pauline. I admired her dedication and love for her...

I'm so sorry to hear of Mrs. Hawks passing. She was very special to me. I was in her 1st grade class at Meadows Union in the late 50's. May you find comfort in your memories and knowing how many people loved your mom.

Peanut butter cookies and milk as you arrive. The tricycles. The big underground pipe on the playground. The sand box. An upright piano. But those things would not be complete without Mrs. Hawk. Things engraved in my heart forever. Thank you Mrs. Hawk for crossing my path and I hope to cross it again with you in heaven. -Meadows Kindergarten 1979 graduate.

Mrs. Hawk was my kindergarten teacher. I was thinking of her just last week. Some teachers make a life-long difference for the children whose lives they touch, and she is one of them. I'm 34 now, and I have twin girls. My girls are five years old. My girls started kindergarten here in Yuma this year, and it's brought back so many memories of my own kindergarten experience. I remembered a book...

As a child I lived across the street from her house. She called me once into her house while I was waiting for the school bus. She gave me a red hat and tenderly put it on my head. Just one of those sweet memories. Rest in peace Sra. Hawk.
