Not sure what to say?

For her, the European trips were a highlight.

Mrs. Rhodes made a lasting impact on my life during the two years she taught me English at GLCS from 1984-86. She truly cared for all of us. Which is more than one could ever say for her fondness of "Mr. Cliff". She will be missed.

I was lucky enough to have Mrs. Rhodes as an English teacher at GLCS. She was one of those teachers that you never wanted to disappoint because she believed you could reach your full potential. I still remember things she taught me and I later became a teacher because of her. She no doubt lives on in the lives and accomplishments of her many students.

She was my teacher at Gospel Light. Sorry to hear of her passing.

Group of 10 Memorial Trees

Peggy and my mom Jean have been best friends since they met at Greensboro College in the early 50s. The Rhodes family has been like our second family all these years. Peggy was always finding new adventures to explore and new experiences to discover. I have many wonderful memories with this family. My thoughts and prayers are with Sarah, Ann, Libby, and the rest of the family. Your mom was a very special person. I am so glad she was such an integral part of our lives. She enriched us all...

We are all much better having known this wonderful woman. I´ve thought of her often through the years and have always been grateful for her influence on my life. Thank you, Mrs Rhodes for all you gave us!

Mrs. Rhodes was my High School English teacher at GLCS. She was a very strong influence in my love of grammar. Her coordination of our Honor Society trip to New York was outstanding and led many of us to a love of a play we never would have thought to enjoy. She was so unique in that she knew the answers to questions others didn't; and she truly knew and understood her students. She was the kind of teacher others should strive to be.

I would like to express my heart-felt condolences to the family of Mrs. Rhodes. She was a great teacher and mentor to me and so many of her students. She gave me a superb foundation in literature and essential writing skills which has served me well throughout life. I am grateful that she held us to high standards and pushed us to excel. She was a role model for Christian living, professionalism, and tasteful refinement. I am grateful for her influence and guidance.
