Not sure what to say?

I’m am deeply saddened to just learn of her passing, she was a great teacher, boss and overall a very caring person she will definitely be missed and always remember

You are in my thoughts once again as I remember your kindness and friendship. Rest in well-deserved peace. Valerie Golembiewski

Penny was a good friend to my cousin, Denise, and her pets. Penny was always ready to help out when one of the dogs was ill, and she always worked with Denise to make it affordable. Penny had a big heart and will be missed by many two and four legged friends.

I knew Penny through a mutual friend, Denise Eddows. I am so glad I have good memories of Penny including one Christmas party at her home. She received a call from a dog owner who was distraught that her two large dogs had eaten an entire box of specialty chocolates. She handled the call, reassured the owners to just put the dogs outside and what to look for in which case they could call her back, but that they should go right on with their own party. And so did Penny.

I first became aware of Penny via an article she wrote about pets in Reader's Digest oh so many years ago...I wrote to her and she responded. I was in awe of her talents and love for animals. I will miss her very much...rest in peace dear, Penny. Valerie Golembiewski

Penny, there has not been a day that goes by that I don´t think about you and miss you. I´m so glad you are in a better place, but you have left such a huge hole in my life. I will see you again my friend.

My husband and I met Dr. Porter in Green Valley in 1973. Her clinic just opened and we needed a vet to care for our new puppy Calamity. She saved Calamity's life 3 times. We continued to take our pets to Ajo Vet when she moved to Tucson. She was there to comfort me when my 14 year cat had to be put to sleep in 2014. I cried and she comforted me. That was the last time I saw this wonderful soul.

A lovely and caring person who chuckled when I brought my three cats at once for their shots and check-ups. Penny was also a wonderful resident in our neighborhood. Thank you for your service to our animal companions and to our neighborhood.
