Penny Lynn (Barbee) Matlock, of Elkhart, went to her final rest at home surrounded by family and loved ones at the tender age of 63 early Saturday morning May 7, 2022, following a brief illness. She is profoundly missed by her best friend and husband of just 14 months, John Landi of Elkhart. She leaves behind a daughter, Melissa (Todd) Rorie, Wakarusa and her children, Joey, Emily and Allison Rorie also of Wakarusa, and Shala Matlock, Mishawaka. She also leaves daughter Jennifer (Brian) Keip and her children JC and Julia Byers of Elkhart; sisters, Judy Tidwell, Savannah, TN and Candy (Kim) Butt, Florence, AL and many nieces and nephews including Phyllis and David Woods of Elkhart and Jessica Haddock of Savannah, TN. Penny was preceded in death by her parents J.L. and Gladys M. (Harper) Barbee; brothers, JC and Darrel Barbee; sisters, Shirley Myers and Sandra Atkinson. Penny worked for a time at Alumax in Bristol but was predominantly a homemaker. Family and friends may call from 5-7 p.m., Friday, May 20, 2022 at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Wakarusa. Graveside services will begin at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 21st at Old Olive Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society.

I am so sadden by this, May you rest in heaven and my deepest condolences to the family. Penny was so supportive in the YOUTUBE Community and supportive to me and my channel. She will always be missed and I will always keep her in my thoughts and never forget her so sweet and loving. Thank you Penny for being part of my life on my YT Channel May God Rest Your SOUL and Rest Up In HEAVEN. I wish you didn't have to go so soon.
