Not sure what to say?

I said five years ago his shoes could not be filled and it stands true today. I listened to every word he said over the twenty plus years i was around him and what I learned from him about airhead motorcycles and sidecars is priceless. I'm proud to be a Perry Bushong trained Hack Pilot and the group of us will forever miss him.

I miss Perry. I miss his love of the two-wheel life, his inestimable knowledge, and his willingness to share that knowledge and lend a hand to novices. I'm thinking fondly of all the times we socialized over two or four wheel get-togethers, and the camaraderie that swirled around BMW of Fort Worth. My thoughts are with Merry and their kids... or rather adult children. Sorry, but I remember them as kids!

Oh Merry Im so sorry..

Beers, Babes & Bikes at Austin Aquafest, 1976

This is very sad news indeed. I have so many wonderful memories of Perry and Merry and their great BMW of Fort Worth locations. Perry sold me my first BMW in 1973, selflessly set it up to perfection, then taught me many of the things a novice rider should know. I remember rides around Texas and Arkansas with the FW club, many burgers and beers at Club Schmitz, and just hanging out at the shop on Saturday, making new two-wheel friends, picking up tips, and listening to stories Perry would...

So, Here I am composing a list of good friends to help me celebrate my 75 birthday and a start up party for my newly rebuilt 500 Morini race bike and I think ,"How about Perry and Merry?". And now I find no words to describe this loss. We have been through a lot, the four of us. We lost Ryan, our son and Merry and Perry's Godson. We all raced together, we lost some and we won more. Merry, I have no words to describe this loss. Rest in Peace my dear friend.

Thank you Perry and Merry for giving me an early start to my career. I loved working for you while I was in college. I am deeply saddened to hear the news today of Perry's passing. Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

I am proud to have called Perry my friend. I am deeply saddened to hear he is gone. The world is lessened by his passing. My condolences to Mary.
