Read MorePerry Lee was my Daddies first cousin. I know that up in heaven Grandaddy Clifford Callaway, my daddy Wilton Callaway, Uncle Wallace Callaway, Harold Callaway and a host of others are having such a time. They were all such great conversationalist.
Perry Lee will sadly be missed at the Callaway reunion in Claxton. We will never forget his sweet smile.

You are in my prayers. It's hard to even think of Claxton under new leadership. It'll never be the same Mr. Perry Lee has been the only mayor I've ever know. There's big shoes that will never be filled! God bless yall!!

I was saddened to hear about Perry Lee. Yet, I must confess, I smiled too. I know that he is in a much better place than this ole world and, there is no doubt, he had a great welcoming committee! I know that mama was the first one to greet him at the Gate and she wanted to know everything that has been going on in the last 18 years!
