Peter died March 29, 2017, leaving his wife of thirty-some years, Joan Trent, both of whom are retired from the Treasury Department's Office of Chief Counsel for the I.R.S. Peter, a native of Washington, D.C., is also survived by his two children, Kathy and George and his brother Louis (Cindy). Per Peter's request there will be no service but the family extends a special thanks to Tidewell for their caring support.
