Not sure what to say?

Peter was an icon in the advertising industry and I had the great pleasure of working with him. Dailey & Associates was the advertising agency for Mexicana Airlines while I was Advertising Manager for the U.S., Canada and Japan. More than the strong leadership and creative talent the agency provided, Peter was a friend and mentor. While Ronald Reagan was running for President, his campaign HQ was in our building and we offered use of our conference room to him through our close ties with...

Dailey & Associates was the advertising agency for Mexicana airlines while I was Advertising Manager for the U.S., Canada & Japan. During this time, Ronald Reagan was running for President and Peter was supporting him in the campaign, which also had the campaign offices in our building. They used our conference room for meetings, as their offices had none. It was an honor to know and interact with these outstanding men. It was a different time. So much has changed.

At 83 I am writing my bio, remembered Pete and Googled. Irony, he hired me at 26 to start in the mail room. Thanks & RIP great Sir.

Yes was the football player at Bruinville,, UCLA rated 3rd 8-0 record, vs USC 1952. Trojans win 14-12, Pete missed a PAT, but kicked a field goal, 96K at Coliseum, Bukich to Carmichael , late go ahead TD.

My grandmother worked for the Daileys when they owned the Running Y. When she was much to old to work they kept her in their employ.I think they must have hired her another house cleaner to do the actual work. They gave her a roundtrip airplane ticket to see her sister for Christmas one year who lived in Detroit . I think she got some Irish whiskey glasses with Peters name on them when he became ambassador she was very proud of.I just really can not say enough about how kind your mother and...

Gwili and I send our condolences to the Dailey family. We were with them in Ireland and have stayed in touch every year since. Without question Peter was the best, most effective, most thoughtful and considerate Ambassador we served with in the Foreign Service. He and Jackie were an amazing couple and we will continue to remember them fondly.

Like Peter, I started my advertising career working in the mail room at Erwin Wasey in Los Angeles. Pete was an inspirational role model for all of us. He was instrumental in my attaining success both in the advertising business and throughout my life. All of us have benefited from having known Pete.

Rest in peace my friend.

My father Tom Weber played at SC the same time as Pete played at UCLA, but they did not meet until both served in the Navy. Pete and Jackie and my mom Nancy and dad Tom became good friends and stayed in touch. When I came from Ohio to go to SC the Daileys took me under their wing, inviting me to parties and share Thanksgiving with them. Dad has passed, but mom Nancy and I send our condolences to the family and we cherish our memories of the Dailey's friendship and acts of...
