Not sure what to say?

We are saddened to learn about "Uncle Pete" passing. He was a great neighbor and friend to Ed & Rose Marks - living just across the lane. So many great memories!
Pate & my dad, Ed, loved going to Dairy Queen for ice cream. My dad built the portable boxing rings for the Golden Gloves. "Uncle Pete" was my confirmation sponsor. I ran through the altar boy's tunnel at St. Mary's to leave church, turned around, expecting to have "Uncle Pete" following me. I'll never forget him crawling...

Pete De Santis was a part of why my childhood in Lorain was wonderful, with nothing more than a free bag of chips, and a smile; he will be missed.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I am so glad for the recollection. He was a wonderful Dad and I am particularly proud of him now knowing that he was so kind to so many. Bless you and your family as well.

I can not believe Pete is gone. God rest him. As we started our business years ago, Pete always stopped in, Chips in hand, offering us sage advise. He knew I was pregant and would stop in and offer to take me to lunch worried I was working to hard. I still have the card from the flowers he sent in my son's baby book. He would always talk about his beloved wife. A kinder more concerned man never lived. With his passing the world is a lesser place. He was an example of how a kind word or...

Pete was a gentle man. He was smart, kind, generous and loving toward all. What a blessing for our community to have known this man. He is celebrating the Love he shared.

Sympathies go out to family and friends of Mr De Santis. This man made me smile every time I saw him. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered. Such a truly remarkable and positive person.

My condolences to the De Santis Family.
I am grateful that Pete took the time to train me as a golden gloves boxer. I learned how to be nice, tough and humble. It was a great lesson for a young man who needed some guidance, discipline and a role model. I will never forget Pete. Thank you!

He was a good friend and neighbor who saw potential for good and promoted it whenever he could. He showed me that a better world could exist; I just had to work a bit harder. What a remarkable person he was.

Will always remember Pete's compassion and cheerful attitude towards everyone. How could you not remember that warm and friendly smile to go along with that big heart of his. He definitely made a huge impact on everyone's life in many great ways. He was a legend of his own. Our condolences to Jean Marie & family.
