Hard to believe I lost a dear friend and a great man one year ago. RIP Peter Michael Sweig

I was lucky enough to know Peter most of my life. As a kid, some of my first memories of him was his booming voice followed by his natural confidence and leadership combined with just having you feel like he knew what he was talking about. As I grew up, I opened my first restaurant at 25 years old...Peter noticed I opened a business account at his bank but what really grabbed his attention was 6 months later I opened my 2nd spot which was a hot dog stand at Navy Pier...Peter loved hot dogs...

Paul and Children, I am so deeply saddened to hear of Peter's passing. I send my deepest condolences and prayers for his eternal rest and a memory that WILL be eternal to many of us. With love, Maria

Since the 1960´s Peter has been a friend not only to me but the whole Loukas family. Our young families were close and in 80´s and 90´s we were able to work together on the redevelopment that took place in the Wrigleyville area of Chicago. North Community Bank, through Peter´s leadership, was instrumental to our work lending to our efforts at improving our neighborhoods. We thank you Peter for your friendship and foresight as our lead banker during those exciting and productive years. May...

Sad to learn the passing of Peter. A strong, valiant fighter of cancer and a friend to so many. Our sincere sympathy to his entire family.

May the four winds blow you safely home, Peter.

Working for Peter for 11 years were some of the best years of my life. He was a kind and fair man, and took care of his employees. He definitely had a presence that made you take notice! I respected the fact that his banks truly were customer focused and the main intent was to help the local business community. He brought a lot of people together in that endeavor. Rest In Peace!

Paula and Family, We are so sorry for your loss. Peter was a great friend and a wonderful person. He will be missed by us. We pray that he will rest in peace.

Paula, Sending you our thoughts and love. Nancy and Bob
