To the entire Fitzpatrick family: My heart breaks for you. Pete was an incredible person, which everyone already knew. May it give you some peace to know you have a beautiful angel watching over you now. My thoughts and prayers to all of you, especially his wife and children.

Peter Fitzpatrick was an amazing man who provided a special light to this world. He shone it as a student, colleague, and as an incredibly wonderful human being. Now that he is gone from us, we owe him the debt of emulating his best virtues for the good of one another.
