Peter Liapes

Peter and I worked for Rist-Frost Associates on engineering surveys the summer of 1966. He surprised me one day 30+ years later with a call at work after he saw my name in a FS directory. Peter started out by saying "you probably don't remember me" to which I responded, "I will always remember the unforgettable Peter Liapes"! We had a good chat and a few laughs. A great guy - R I P Peter. My sincerest condolences to the family.

Peter was great friend. When I lived in California from 1963 to 1980 in Manhattan Beach, I would visit him in Running Springs for a few days. It was pleasant time. He´d show around the area where he went exploring and all his collections. We would visit the local places for breakfast, dinner, bars (until he quit drinking, I think). I remember when he hurt his knee (his hip?) fire fighting and they would let him do it any more. That hurt. I am sorry he´s gone.

My condolences to the family. Pete and I had so many good times together in Queensbury and at college. He was a truly good friend. The Accardi's were also his good friends. I cherish the memories.............Harry
