Peter was a delightful person to know, with his bright personality and outlook, constant sense of corny humor, his joy of passing on some historical insight or personal anecdote, and his exuberant and unfailing friendliness. I didn't know Mr. Littlefield, however I own 2 Ordway wicker rocking chairs manufactured by his great-great grandfather. In researching the origins of the rockers I found a letter he wrote to Koreshan Unity State museum inquiring about chair patents. When I sit in my chair I sometimes think of the family that patented this unique rocker platform.
