Not sure what to say?

Two of the best Chief I ever knew. Pete and Jeff. Im in the sail.

Thinking about my shipmates and COB (Pete) was one of the most influential. He was tough but fair and could go from kicking your butt to holding you up in a heartbeat. We butted heads at first but he showed me that all he wanted was to make me a better man and I can never repay him enough. Fair winds and following seas Shipmate!

Pete, you were one of the best COBs I've ever had the pleasure of serving with! Fair winds and following seas!

We are very sorry for your loss. Pete will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know him. I was aboard the USS Archerfish with Pete.

Dana, so sorry to hear about your loss. Prayers of comfort for you and your family.

I served with Pete on the USS Finback and routinely crossed paths with him after that. He was a consummate profesional and I was and am still happy to call him "shipmate". His suffering is now over and he is in a better place. My prayers are with his family.

To the family of MCPO (SS) Peter Manias - Pete and you all are in my thoughts and prayers. The US Navy, Submarine Force, and all that served with Pete are indebted to him forever – all greatly benefitted from his service, his call to duty.

Fair winds and following seas shipmate;
T Nutter

Pete and I joined the Navy I think in the same month, we did STS training together I went to Finback then we did shore duty together, made E-6 on the same day then he went to Finback and started his meteoric rise to STS superstar. Our paths crossed many times and we were always there for advice - he was like a brother. I tried...

You have our heart felt condolences in this difficult time.
