Missing you still Dad, and hoping if you are watching that you like what you see. Always in my heart.

As always Peter was a "First Class" guy at everything he did and here is the letter I saved he sent to me on my promotion 28 years ago.

I am deeply saddened by Peter's death.

Mr. Norton inspired so many during his lifetime. He treated us (EB employees) like family, and had genuine concern for all his employees. He was truly a magnificent person. I praise God for allowing me to have met him.

This is sad news. I first met Peter at my father's funeral in 1977, just a month or two after I began my E.B. career. He flew in from Chicago, spent most of the day at my parents home, and was genuinely concerned about our family's grief at the time; Over the next 16 years that I was with Britannica, he NEVER failed to asked me about my mother and our family and their well being.
He was the steward of the company during some of its' greatest years.

I am so sorry for your loss..Mr Norton was a great Boss and a very special person

My sympathies to the entire Norton family. I was fortunate to have worked at Encyclopaedia Brirannica while he was at the helm. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a true gentleman as well as a fine leader. God bless!
