Not sure what to say?

Fr Pagonas was at St Michael´s church in Amsterdam NY. He taught a catechism class that I was in. He was inspiring. A few years down the road, he had already moved to Albany NY, I asked him if he would marry my fiancé and I. He met with us and performed the marriage. He was a kind and generous soul. May he rest in peace.

I am late with my condolences, I am so sorry for your loss. Fr. Pagonis was our parish priest at St. Michael´s Church in Amsterdam NY. He was a kind and caring person, always receptive to being supportive, always very pastoral. He returned to Amsterdam in 1980 to officiate at my wedding. He will always have a place in my heart. Thank you Fr. Pagonis for being who you were. May God and his angels be with you. Liz Sinicropi

A classmate at Siena College, from 1960 to 1964. So many years ago. But, some people you know are destined to do great things. Pete, later to be Father Pete, was one of those people. And, his influence as priest, mentor, and friend touched so many. While he wasn't a Franciscan, he put into practice the Prayer of St. Francis. The final reminder from that prayer is that it's in dying that we are born to eternal life. Peter Pagones you will be missed.

father pagones was a beloved priest who we shall miss--rest in peace father

Eternal rest grant unto Fr. Peter O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. Thank You Fr. Pagones for your positive influence in our young minds, which in turn, took us many years to materialize. I still remember sitting in the front pew at St. Patrick´s listening to your homilies. No longer in NY, but I remain a proud Catholic and attend mass regularly. God bless you and...

Father was my boss at St. Henry's in Averill Park. He was always receptive, kind, pastoral, supportive and encouraging. He and the parish were very kind and caring when my mom passed. These are the things you never forget in life. I am sure he will be brought into the lord's presence hearing the words well done good and faithful servant. Fr. Peter, may you rest in peace! Thank you for everything dear friend.

Peter was the consummate priest. He was a man of the people. He cared for his parishioners. He was the epitome of what a man of God should be. He was my friend and I will miss him.

So very saddened to read of Fr Pagones´ passing. A sweet and generous man/priest with a wonderful sense of humor!!

I am very sorry for your loss. I knew Father Pete back in the seventies when we were both members of St. Patrick's bowling league. What a great guy. So much fun to be around and always available if you needed someone to talk to. He is now in heaven being rewarded for a lifetime of serving God and the church. He touched the lives of many during his time on this earth. My prayers are with Father Pete and his family during this sad time. May he rest in peace and enjoy well deserved...
