I GUESS I FIRST MET PETE IN THE MID 80S.THATS WHEN I STARTED WORKING AT THE PHONE OFFICE ON GROVE ST. I PROBABLY MET HIM AT HAPPY REST. WHERE A BUNCH OF US MET EVERY MORNING FOR COFFEE.SO ITS BEEN 25 YEARS SINCE THEN.OVER THE YEARS IVE BEEN AT PETES HOUSE A HUNDRED TIMES-HE WAS KIND OF ROUGH AROUND THE EDGES BUT HE WAS A GOOD GUY WITH STONG OPINIONS ABOUT MOST ANYTHING.HE WAS ALWAYS WILLING TO EXPLAIN CIVIL WAR EVENTS AND THEIR CONSEQUENCES.WE EVEN WENT ON A 4 DAY TRIP TO GETTYSBURG AND OTHER...

I just learned of your father's death.I will remember him fondly.We had some great trips to Civil War battlefields and I enjoyed his company always.Carole and I extend our sympathies to you all.

Dear Christopher, Jeffrey and Nicole, I was so saddened when I heard of Petes passing. I have such fond memories growing up with Pete working for my dad all those years ago. He was a gentle giant and I loved him dearly. My entire family's thoughts and prayers are with you all
