I was Dr. Romanos first external fixator surgery in 1997. As my friends are now starting families, I was doing research to help find a friend the best orthopedic, and upon looking up Dr. romanos information, was so saddened by discovering his passing. As a seven year old with a broken femur, and frightened parents, Dr. Romano helped us through the entire process. The women who worked at the front desk use to keep a picture of me up there to show other kids going through what I went through...

I will never forget the hope that Dr Romano gave to me after the birth of my daughter Freddy was born with a condition known as phocomelia. He closely followed her after surgery knowing that she attended school overseas. He treated her like he would his own daughter. I just found out today of his passing. Our family is saddened. We love you Dr Romano and you will forever be in our heart. Rest well my friend.

11 years post surgery. Bone lengthening of my left arm. Thank you Dr Romano.
