Read MoreI just learned with regret from the UofR alumni magazine that Peter had passed. We used to frequent a coffee house where Bat McGrath and Don Potter used to play., I think it was on or near Ridge Road. I remember several conversations we had and when he had just gotten his PhD. My condolences to his family.

Mr. Samuel - Dr. Samuel, I just learned - was always gentle, kind, and sharing to me, as I grew up hanging out with his eldest. I am grateful for the time I had with him, and I have a very special love for his children, wife, and family.

Peter Louis Samuel, left this life 8/11/2017. I [Victoria -his sister] have so many wonderful memories of him. Below are a few of them:
1.Peter would stop and get me at my pre-school on his walk home from Laurelton School, together we walked the rest of the way home.
2.As a teen, he drove at midnight to SeaBreeze to ride the roller coaster [Jack Rabbit] at midnight. He wanted to ride it in the dark of night.
