Not sure what to say?

Peter was such a wonderful friend and neighbor. John and I lived next door to Gina Evins back in 1985-86, and Peter and Ann welcomed us to the neighborhood with open arms and big hearts. Our time in Austin would not not been nearly as fun, memorable, or complete without their amazing friendship. It is hard to imagine Austin without them. John and I attended the service on FB, and the words of family and friends captured Peter so beautifully. Peter's memory will live on in our hearts and minds.

To Frank and the Staats Family,
Eric and I send our deepest condolences, thoughts and prayers to you all. May God bless your family during this time.

To the Staats family, I was so saddened to hear of Peter's passing. He was joyful, interesting, engaging and kind, and he absolutely adored all of you. What a tremendous loss to the Austin and McCallum communities. Love from Mary Kahle

Peter was my best friend. My nickname for him was Petro!
He had never ending energy, and love for everyone. He knew everyone in East Austin. He shared his music, wine, and love for life with me! We were friends, since University of Houston days. We shared a house called the Morrison Hotel! We never locked a door!
I will miss you my friend! Rest now Peter. I'll see you when it's my time!
Love you,
Michael Bob!
