Not sure what to say?

To the Family of Peter Joseph Way. The members of Pendleton King DAV Chapter 10, Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and Department of Georgia DAV were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our Comrade Peter Joseph Way. Comrade Way was a life member of the DAV. We have lost a great warrior, great husband, great father, and great American. We know your loss is deep, and your sorrow great, but we want you to know that we share in your sorrow, but more importantly, we recognize that the loss...

You probably do not remember us since it has been several years. My young son (about 12-13 years old at the time) an I were mountain biking at Forks Trails one summer day. Like rookies on this area I lost my sense of direction. We stopped in one of the openings near the road so I could gather my bearings. I was starting to get worried, the sun was going down and we were running out of water so I told my son to ease on drinking the little we had left. After a few minutes and out of nowhere...

My heart goes out to you and your family. I am sure he was a good man. Loved by all. May he RIP

To family and friends. Sending sincere condolences and prayers. I just saw this and still in shock! I worked with Peter at Milliken while he was our NP. He was very much appreciated by all. He was a kind soul that wanted to help people feel better. I am so sorry. My prayers to family and friends.

I'm shocked and saddened to hear of Peter's passing. I knew him briefly as the brother of a close high school friend and have some fun memories of meeting and interacting with him-my deepest condolences to his family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Anne, Lara, Joe, and your family. Love you all. Shea, Sandy, and Locke

I knew Peter when he was a child. He was a good kid. He was Father Way's son whom I knew well. I knew the entire family. They were all decent and good human beings. I was saddened to hear of his death, especially at such a young age. If his sister, Justine, reads my post, I knew her as well and Justine, my deepest condolences. Roy Blackburn, M.D.

We are so saddened by the news of Pete's passing. Having Pete, Anne, Rory and the Way family in our Vail Vets family of alumni means the world to us all. Their friendly faces, approachable and supportive nature and open hearts helped other veterans feel welcome during our programs. It is always a pleasure spending time with or connecting with any member of the Way Family. Sending love and light to everyone, and here to support anyone in need during this time of grief.

May he rest in honored peace. May God continue to watch over the Way family as they serve this great Nation.
