I met Phil many years ago when we both attended St Anselm's. We quickly became close friends. While Phil was a returning Vietnam Vet I was on the verge of being drafted and after many discussions with him I enlisted in the US Army and eventually was sent to Vietnam. After I came home to Manchester I tried to reconnect with Phil but it just wasn't meant to be. I tried many times over the years to connect with him even on Facebook with no luck.
